One more IM cadre shot dead

Dimapur, June 07: In a continued factional killings in Dimapur, an NSCN-IM activist was shot dead late on Saturday afternoon.

The NSCN-IM has alleged that it was done by the NSCN-Unification.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 4 pm on Saturday at Super Market area, behind the Town Hall.

Dimapur police said that the slain NSCN-IM activist has been identified as one 'Capt' Avito of Hetoi village, Dimapur.

Dimapur police further said that the deceased NSCN-IM captain came from the outfit's Hebron camp on Friday to Dimapur for some work.

He was reportedly shot dead by two gunmen shot pumped on the NSCN-IM captain with three bullets at point blank range on the head with a 9mm pistol.

Meanwhile, the NSCN-IM has said that the "marauding reactionary force of Azheto-Mulatuno-Kitovi group has killed another NSCN member, Mr.Kavito Sumi s/o Pukhazhe of Hetoi village at Super Market.

He is Rajau-Peyu of UT-1".The NSCN-IM in a press statement said that the outfit and the Naga nation condole his death.

The NSCN-IM also reminded that the killing that is continuing almost everyday "is the direct outcome of the government of India who incited such killings to take place among the Nagas by allowing the Azheto-Mulatuno-Kitovi group to be stationed at Vihokhu Camp, which is not designated as per Ceasefire ground rules".

The outfit then said that "the artificial flush out" is just an eye wash.

"Why are this group not sent back to the seven designated camp?", asked the NSCN-IM press note.
