Imphal, August 09: Contrary to earlier reports three accused persons were put through the rigours of lie detection test at the 1st Manipur Rifles complex today in connection with the kidnapping and chilling murder of Lungnila Elizabeth.

It was speculated that only the prime accused James alias Letsei kuki and one Deben Singh of Nagamapal Kangjabi Leikai would undertake the test to authenticate whether their disclosures during previously conducted interrogation were true or not.

However, it is reported that a third accused was also tested at the secluded room inside the security force campus this morning.

other than the Director of central forensic Science Laboratory (New Delhi) Bibha Rani and a local interpreter no one else were allowed to enter the test room, said informed source who however declined the identify the third accused.

The Director arrived yesterday with the lie detection device said to be specifically designed to explore/expose lies by suspects/accused persons.
