Imphal, June 06 2010: With Th Muivah putting up a defiant stand 'No one can stop me' from entering Manipur and instead of returning to Camp Hebron in Dimapur and heading towards Pfutsero in Phek district of Nagaland, the State Government has already put in place certain measures to plug all possible entry points of the NSCN (IM) leader to enter the State.

Speaking The Sangai Express, a highly placed source from the State Home Department said that the Union Home Ministry has also instructed all the Central forces, including the Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF and the BSF to bar the entry of Th Muivah to Manipur.

The instruction was issued on June 4 and the same has been highlighted to the State Government, said the source.

Referring to intelligence inputs, the source said that they have received information that Muivah may try to reach Somdal, his birth place by June 9 .

Not taking any chances, ever since Muivah left Viswema village and headed towards Pfutsero in Phek district, the State Government has rushed in additional forces at two possible points, one at Jessami and other at Liyai village in Senapati district, which has a motorable road upto Ukhrul district.

Imphal East SP, K Radhashyam is heading the forces at Liyai village, against all odds while additional forces at Jessami is headed by the CO of 1st Manipur Rifles, E Priyokumar.

Jessami on the Manipur-Nagaland border with around 501 households and inhabited by the Chakeshang tribes, has only three Tangkhul households, and is located about 120 kms away from Ukhrul district Headquarters.

Meanwhile in an effort to break the deadlock over the total blockade on the National Highways by ANSAM and backed by various Naga civil society organisations as well as the ban imposed on Manipur vehicles in Nagaland or Naga dominated places, the State Government has started sending feelers through different channels to talk things over, said the source further.
