Dimapur, June 22: In the continued factional violence between the NSCNIM and the NSCN-Unification, an NSCN-IM "2nd Lieutenant " has been killed by the rival group in Dimapur on Saturday. Reports said that NSCN-IM's "2nd Lieutenant" Tsengpeng s/o Renei of Akhegwo village was killed by cadres of NSCN-Unification on Saturday at Dimapur's Signal Basti, Dimapur.

He was reportedly abducted from his rented house and later found killed in the railway track.

He was attached to the outfit's 'deputy kilonser' Zavitho Kijiri.

Meanwhile, the NSCN-IM and "the Naga Nation condoled the death of 2nd Lt.Tsengpeng who had given 14 years of service to the nation", according the NSCN-IM press release.

The outfit said that he died like a true Naga army, not succumbing to the pressure of falling on the wrong side.

History will record his name accordingly and honour him in the manner he deserved, said the outfit.

In such hour of sorrow and grief, may God give the strength and comfort to the bereaved family members, and may the soul of Tsengpeng rest in peace, prayed the message of the NSCN-IM.

"The vulgarity and distortion in the name of Naga struggle taking the name of unification was seen in its most dehumanized manner when Azheto Chopy and his group started the criminalized politics in the stolen name of NSCN," accused the NSCN-IM statement.

The outfit further said that the dirtiest of all crime never seen in the history of the 60 years of Naga struggle was laid bare before the Nagas.

"Abduction for ransom, raping of non local women and killing of innocent civilians targeting particular tribe, and also burning down the houses of this particular tribe, are just few examples of the magnitude of the crime," alleged the NSCN-IM statement while adding, "But to compound their crime and demean their morality is the temerity and non-fearing of God to put across other's name who committed all the crimes.

And woe betides the criminals and liars, and home they brought blood and coffins, and not unification and peace.

The Naga public may be fooled with the devilish charm but God can never be fooled.

God hated deceitfulness, and God never fails to give befitting when the indulgence in evil ways went too far".

The outfit also stated that pretension is not the trait to be used in the name of Naga unification.

It is bound to boomerang and explode.

"And this is the living testimony before the Nagas today.

Prayers and appeal comes in plenty for peace in the name of unity.

But at the end of the day when the reckoning moment comes to face the reality of the situation, it was a downhill disaster.

Pre-determined agenda of Azheto-Mulatuno-Kitovi group simply blocks the way," said the NSCN-IM press note on Sunday.
