Imphal, January 23: Accusing the SPF Government of still trying to hoodwink the people by denying involvement of some Ministers in the Lungnila Elizabeth murder case, Youth Front of Democratic People's Alliance observed that the accused persons should resign for at least a day on moral ground.

The resignation is even more necessary as the Government had finally decided to rope in the service of CBI to investigate the complex case for which free hand and transparency to the central agency is a pre-requisite, said the Youth Front statement.

If some the Ministers named by the NSCN (IM) in connection with the murder case consider themselves to be innocent what has prompted the Ministers to increase presence of security personnel, questioned the Front.

It also strongly condemned Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for trying to shield the Ministers despite earlier declaration of appropriate punishment against anybody involved in the gruesome murder.
