Ukhrul, May 22 2010: The Ukhrul District Journalists' Association (UDJA) has strongly resented the act of confiscating the newspapers meant for Ukhrul at Seijang areas yesterday by the counter economic blockade supporters.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, the UDJA said in a statement that those who perpetrated the act were a few misguided people in the name of supporting the counter economic blockade.

UDJA appealed to all concerned not to repeat such unwanted activities in future, and not to use newspapers as a weapon for any type of agitation in the larger interest of all sections of the people.
