Imphal, June 18: Reacting to the contention of the UNLF that the five individuals killed on June 9 were KNA cadres involved in the killing of Nengneilhing Baite, president of AMSU Chandel district and Roshan, the village executive council of S Mouljol village, the local youth club and the women society have clarified that all the five individuals were innocent civilians.

Asserting that the allegation of the UNLF was false and baseless, the three bodies, in a joint press release, maintained that Pastor Hemjang Lhungdim, Doumang Haokip, Lunkhomang Misao, Lunkholal Haokip and Tongkholun Sitlhou were all innocent civilians.

Saying that killing of innocent people will not do any good, they appealed to UG groups not to disturb the peaceful life of innocent people.
