Itanagar, August 10: Hailing the unity call echoed by the Wakat Meephams held by different social organisations at the height of the economic blockade imposed by ANSAM, HERICOUN today said that it will take part in such campaign to ring out the unity call to all concerned.

Speaking to newsmen today, assistant secretary of HERICOUN, M Churamani said that all should heed the unity call echoed by the people and added HERICOUN along with other like minded organisations will encourage such campaigns.

Anyone against such a unity call will be deemed as reactionaries, added Churamani.

The highway blockade was a direct fall out of the divisive policies pursued by the powers that be, observed Churamani and added that this gave rise to the voice for unity.

On the observance of June 18 as Great June Uprising and Unity Day by two different organisations, Churamani said that this has violated the traditional institutions.
