Imphal, October 10: Buoyed by the massive turnout of people at the just concluded �workshop on political awareness� organized and sponsored by Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim, Zeliangrong Region held at Tamenglong on October 8, the GPRN said the support of the Zeliangrong people indicates the unmoved stand of the people and solidarity on the ongoing Indo-NSCN (IM) political dialogue on the vexed and long standing Naga political issue.

In a statement made available to this office, MK Winning, CAO said that the movement has come a long way at the cost of untold hardships, sacrifice of many lives, loss and damage of properties and other inhuman torture for the last 56 years at the hands of forced foreign occupation.

Exuding confidence in their collective leadership and the wisdom of the Almighty, he said that we are at the point of no return come what may until the issue becomes an acceptable, lasting and peaceful solution.

Urging Meitei brethren to become a facilitators to the hard earned peace instead of derailing the peace process, the statement questioned the intention of Meiteis on the move to derail the ongoing peace process as was evident by the recent detention and subsequent release of its kilo kilonser and his team by the State Government who way laid them on their journey to Tamenglong to attend the said workshop.
