Imphal, February 03: Taking strong exception to the unexplained killing of one Md Talipur Rehman (35) of Lilong Litan Makhong last night, local people blocked NH 39 at Lilong area in protest against the killing today.

Shot by some unidentified persons last night, Talipur succumbed on the way to hospital.

In connection with the killing, people erupted in anger and strong disapproval and blocked NH 39.The Lilong market also remained closed in solidarity to the protest agitation.

The enraged also took out a protest rally before congregating for a public meeting.

During the meeting a joint action committee has also been constituted.

The family members and the JACare refusing to claim the corpse.
