Imphal, January 25: All the flags of political parties, posters and hoardings put up along roads, on Government offices and public places located within the 10 Assembly segments of Thoubal district in violation of the model code of conduct were taken down by police today.

Moreover, the hoarding put up at the gate of Thoubal Deputy Commissioner's office highlighting the achievements of SPF Government was also pulled down.

On the other hand, four candidates of Hiyanglam AC which goes to poll in the first phase hoisted their party flags at their respective residences today.

In the Constituency having 24376 voters, INC is fielding E Dwijamani, CPI E Biramani while NCP and MPP are putting up S Kunjo and Ashok Kumar respectively.
