The PM felt that since the matter was for the same reason he need not meet the UCM delegation.

On the same day the UCM team and the political parties team went to meet the Dy Prime Minister LK Advani.

He felt that since the political parties had already met the Prime Minister on the same issue he will discuss the matter with the Prime Minister.

He commented that the founding fathers of the Constitution were not contemplating that such a situation would arise where the centre would be required to assist the states on law and order and made it as a state subject.

The Dy Prime Minister had already discussed the matter with the Chief Minister the previous day.

Somnath Chatterji after listening to the delegates said "it directly means you are paying someone to kill you".
