International Mother language Day, 21st February, 2013

MANIPURI DOESN'T HAVE ANY INEFFICIENCY IN THE WORLD

We are called as "Ching-Chang" by the narrow minded people thinking that we must be from china as a result of our face. Even among us who have this mentality express uneasiness or anger to them. All these are related to the lack of knowledge of our tradition. I mean that those who do not know how to respect others are not human being infect they are the look alike of human beings.

On the other hand it would rather be appropriate to say that we are also one of those creatures. Because being a Manipuri doesn't have any inefficiency. As a Manipuri we are always being an ideal for others. Infect "Manipur" is the only state in the north east of India which stands out with its enormous culture, custom, tradition, language and script and way of living.

It is a place of unity with "Chingmee-Tammee" which has attires for every type of events and gatherings i.e. different attires for married and unmarried women, for newly born babies, for naming ceremony, for feeding babies for the first time, for marriage and for shrada and different attires to stay at home and go outside and many more. We can easily guess where the person is visiting through his or her dress. This is the one and only custom in the world which Manipuri have.

OUR MOTHER WILL NEVER ASK TO REPAY FOR HER BREAST MILK

Many selfish outsiders are trying to abolish our ancient culture and customs in the name of rite and religion. It is indeed very difficult to find the states and countries which are still following their own custom, tradition and origin. It can rather be said that we have numerous countries and states which are independent politically but not culturally.

"Veisnav-Dharma" is in the attempt to attack our original religion "Lainingthou-Sanamahi" even today. Our sacred "Puyas" are burnt to ashes. Apart from this many are killed using "Sarengkhoi" who do not want to abandon their ancient religion. Many ran away unable to bear the tortures of "Veisnav-Dharma" and still are unable to back home. Manipur is turned into a battlefield between the "Chingmee-Tammee" in the name of religion and untouchability, destroying the brotherhood among them by "Veisnav-Dharma".

Instead of helping and solving the problems, they are taking advantage to divide giving the names of Hindu, Meitei and Christian. Manipur is burnt to ashes as a result of flinging oil into the flame. We, the nameless, cultureless and burnt to ashes, are again fighting for Kuki land, Naga land and Meitei land.

Oh! What a pitiful children we are. Our mother will never ask to repay for her breast milk. She wants to see the unity and brotherhood among us. But are we actually the real children of her who always try to tear her apart and burn her down?

"TAIBANG-LAMBI" IS THE ONLY WAY TO BRING PEACE AND PROSPERITY IN THE WORLD

Yes, we the "Chingmee-Tammee" are the real children of "Panthoibi". The image of faith, love, unity and belief of "Chingmee-Tammee" can be seen in the folk tales Eebudou Sanamahi, Liningthou, Thangnarel, Pangalba, Pakhangba, Yangoi-Ningthou, Thangjing, Koubru, Chothe, Konthong-Nganba, Eema leimarembi, Panthoibi, Lukhrabi Yumfam, Eesing-Chaibi and Macha-Eebemma Khudithibi etc, as well as in the history of all the "Sayon-Taret of Khamba-Thoibi."

"Meitei-Mayek" is the script which reflects our identity and has been bestowed by our ancestors since the time immemorial. Nobody is mortal. Let us stop dividing and tearing apart in the name of religion and community. Let us try to develop our culture and tradition as well as respecting others. This is the one and only "Taibang-Lambi" to bring peace and prosperity and to make Manipur as "Taibang-Pokpi".

MANIPURI MEITEI ASSOCIATION, BANGALORE (MMAB) THAT IS MAMA

As the first step to regard "Taibang-Lambi" MAMA (MA-Manipuri, M-Meitei, A-Association) has started teaching "Meitei Mayek" which is an endangered script in the world, caring in her lap the children in Bangalore on 24th February, 2013, Sunday at 10 O'clock to 1 in the afternoon. In order to develop this script Omprakash Potsangbam, president, paved the way related to this program.

Mentioning some of the enormous qualities, Chabungam Basant and I. Harikrishna, Advisors, expressed that it is very fortunate that we are born in Manipur. As well as, Arun Yambem, Member Secretary, taught "Meitei-Mayek" to his association brothers and sisters to let them know better our mother tongue.

International Mother language Day, 21st February, 2013

The other important associative executive members Nirmal Kansamcha (Vice-President), Jenial Thiyamcha (General Secretary), Baru Luwangcha (Treasury Secretary), Dinesh Wangkhemcha (Games and Sport Secretary), Vivekananda Ningthemcha (Publicity Secretary), John Moirangcha (Member) & Dr. Jiban Moirangcha (Convenor) further discussed about improving and teaching "Meitei-Mayek" to the Manipuris in Bangalore.

As a concluding part of the program the executive members of MAMA circulating to the Manipuris in the world to work together for the prosperity and superiority of our Mother tongue, script, culture and custom etc.

Let the world be as bright as "Mani" with culture and tradition of Manipur.
