Houston (USA), Oct 30: Autumn sets in and the season brings everyone bountiful beauty and a pleasant environment. After months of digging ground and cultivation, our forefathers gathered together to thank for the abundant blessings they had been showered upon. On this auspicious day of joy and merriment, the leadership of the Kuki International Forum (KIF), based in the United States of America (USA), sends out its greetings to all the Kukis around the world.

"The mesmerized preservation of cultural heritages resonate one's origin and national identity; this pompous KUT festival keeps nourishing the hearts of many to energize our patriotism," said Pu Nehginpao, one of KIF leaders, when asked to comment on the efficacy of celebrating KUT festival.

The cultural unity during autumn Kut fest is enlightening to all of us. We can not afford to part from our close affinity, despite present political whims, one's ego and differences. Our cultural entity always intertwines us despite distant geographical locations. May the fanfare celebration of this year's Kut bring forbearance, peace and prosperity to all kutters!

In addition to the traditional norms of KUT celebration, today's programs have usually been adjusted to the modern standard. In this regard, the KIF appreciates individuals and organizations that have been organizing this important event in different parts of the world. The Kuki community in the USA, under the initiative of the KIF leadership, for the first time in the Kukis' history, is gearing up to celebrate "Chavang Kut" on the 25th of November.
