Thousands of students and peoples climbing the small Kheiba ching(small hill) and floral tribute to the great heroes statue at the top of the hill. The British fought a number of wars in India such as the Maratha wars and Sikhs war. The last of such wars was the Manipur Khongjom War which break out in 1891. The Manipur State Govt observed Khongjom Day and "tarpol" at Khongjom river. Read more about Khongjom War here.
