Chavang Kut, the biggest and premiere, post harvest festival of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo communities of the state, was celebrated on November 1 2017 at Tengnoupal District Headquarter for the first time since the creation of this District. The celebration was organised by Tengnoupal District Chavang Kut Celebration Committee, 2017
Chavang Kut marks the ending of the harvest season. It is also a thanksgiving ceremony and prayers are offered for a bountiful harvest season and prosperity of the people.
