Stepping up security measures ahead of the Independence Day, Imphal West commandos led by DSP (Cdo) Dr Sarangthem Ibomcha conducted search operations at Paona Keithel and Governor Road on 08 August 2013. Suspected people found between Indra Photo Studio and Diamond Tailor were herded together and verified one by one. Even though people who possessed identity cards were let off, around 50 persons who did not possess any ID card were taken to City police station for further verification.
