COVID-19: Essential food items distributed by 15 like minded individuals on 23rd April 2020 to villages of Tarao Laimanai which is inhabited by the smallest community of Manipur, Tarao Tribe, to help them overcome shortage of essential supplies amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
The items were distributed to each of around 45 households of about 250 numbers in population in the village. A bottle of hand sanitizer was also handed over to each household which was donated by the Department of Chemistry, Manipur Univeristy.
Tarao Laimanai is located around 65 Km away from Imphal in Chandel District and is a distance of around 8 Km from Laimation villages along the Imphal Moreh Road.
