Sagol Kangjei has been adapted and adopted by the international enthusiasts of the game as Polo and it's now being played worldwide. The Sagol Kangjei (Manipuri traditional polo) played an exhibition match at the oldest polo ground in the world Mapal Kangjeibung Imphal organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association .
