The State Govt has decided National Institute of Technology (NIT) will be constructed at Lamphelpat. The settlement Department measuring the required land, the women folk of Lanmgol area with JAC against the construction of NIT in residential and wetland langol try to stop the measurement, however the state security forces deployed for this works halted the womenfolk. Police lathi-charged ; 12 women were hospitalised at Shija Hospital for treatment.
