Starting from Kangla , Trucks and oil tankers being escorted by Police personnel on its way from Imphal to Jiri and back to Imphal on the National Highway(NH) 53 on the first week of August 2005.
NH-53 is used an an alternative route for trucks as NH-39 is being closed due to economic blockade by ANSAM.
