Manipur State Police conducted selection of Special Police Officer (SPO) for protecting its village for the first time in North East. In the month of March during the holi festival one of the underground of Manipur killed three civilians during the Thabal Chongba at Heirok play ground. The long agitation were conducted by the peoples of Heirok and finally demanded gun for protect Heirok around 25,000 peoples under Thoubal District south from Imphal around 30kms from Imphal. Recently the Manipur cabinet decided to establish SPO at Heirok. Around 2000, class X passed, youth attended in the selection of SPO.
