Dr. Kunjeswori and KK. Das Taking class at the rock Shelter
From 9th to 11th May 2011, students (specialization Ancient) of Department of History, Manipur University under Dr. L. Kunjeswori Devi of the Department accompanied by N.J.K Singh, Leader Exploration, DM College of Science, Imphal successfully conducted the 4th expedition into the Kathong Chingjao hill, 15 Km from Sajik Tampak (Chandel District, Manipur).
The object of the expedition was to explore the Paleolithic caves and rock shelter viz,
Phuikon Haosabee Cave -I ,
Phuikon Haosabee Cave �II ( Phuikon Ningthou Cave) and
Khommunnom rock shelter.
The students who took part in expedition were
Ricky Laishram, Raj Kumar Somorjit Sana, Laishram Benson, Huidrom Suraj, Hidam Ajit, Tina Sinam, Tongbram Bedamani, N. Thangkhochon Baite, Nehminlen, Jamchinlien Touthang, George Bariampan, Chonglienzou Simte and Khupnei Serto Kom.
