Chirom Indira featured at Prayas (Resurgence of Handlooms) ( a book) on National Handloom Day at Chennai on 7th August 2015 .
PRAYAS featured only 19 Success Stories from all over the country, Out of these, 18 such success stories are from Handloom Clusters implemented by Govt. Only Chirom Indira from North EastIndia (Manipur) was listed in this book for her contribution on Manipuri Handlooms. She also introduced Km Laishram Manimacha Devi from Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai to the rest of the world through this Book.
Chirom Indira, W/o. Chirom Sanjoy Singh from Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai, Imphal West , Manipur is the only one who listed as a pannel designer at National Center for Textiles Design (NCTD), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. She is working very hard to promote and propagate Manipuri Handlooms diversified products to the International level on the theme of 'TRADITION TO TRENDS'.
