First State Watermelon festival 2012 organised by Nahakpam foundation for development at Iboyaima Sumang Lila Shanglen from June 8 till June 12 2012.
Altogether 12 stalls from 4 districts make it to the festival. 6 stalls from Thoubal, 3 from Bishenpur, 2 from Imphal West and 1 from Imphal East took part in the summer festival.
Horticulture department claim zero watermelon import from Myanmar with good production in the State to meet the demands of the customers.
The festival also features evening entertainment and day time resource sessions programmes .
