Food Safety Department seized food items sold at non-licensed vendors without abiding the rules and regulations laid down by Food Safety and Standards Wing, Imphal West on 5th February 2015
A team led by S. Bimolakumari Devi, Designated Officer (Food Safety)/CMO, Imphal West and SDPO, Imphal West, A. Ghanashyam Sharma conducted a food safety drive at Keishamthong, Chingamakha, Nagamapal Lai Eshing Chaibi and Kangjabi Leirak.
Unregistered vendors and Butcher shops which are found violating the norms of food safety regulation were closed down and samples of the food items were being seized for further investigation.
