Phiyowon blooms in abundance at Mount Hoyang (Huya) Kachui ( in Ukhrul District) during July

Phiyowon blooms in abundance at Mount Hoyang (Huya) Kachui during the month of July.

Mount Hoyang Kachui is located at Shingcha, 46 Kilometres away from Ukhrul Headquarter, Manipur.

Some tourist who visited this place has named this flower 'Phiyowon'. The name was given last year when they found that it has no official name as yet.

Phi comes from the word 'Philava' which means "Princess" and YO comes from the word 'Mayori' which means "sweet" and WON means "flower". Thus the name signifies a Princess blooming sweetly in the wild.

- As per report from Tenno, a tourist who is fascinated with Phiyowon.
