Manipuris in Montreal, Canada, celebrated the happy occasion of Ningol Chakouba, though a wee bit late, on November 29, 2015. A lot had gone through as prep work leading up to the event, but a special mention goes to Anantakumar, Buddhachandra, Promud, Radheshyam, and Bheigya for their effort in making the event a grand success. All the Montreal Ningols wore beautiful and very graceful traditional Manipuri attire and the sight invoked that heart-felt feeling of being at home, though so far away from it. As part of the customary gesture, all Ningols and the kids got gifts, wrapped with a lot of love. It was overall a fun get-together for everyone, an event that we would fondly remember.
