Kabuis celebrates the Gudui-Ngai festival during the sowing season in April. The festival is celebrated by drinking juice of ginger after having cleared the fields for sowing. A tug-of-war is held between the men and women symbolising the competition between the Gods and Goddesses. If the war is won by the girls, it is a good omen, symbolic of a bumper harvest in the coming season.

The Gudui Ngai festival is celebrated at Keishamthong Kabui, Moirangkhom Kabui, Mahaballi, Major Khul Sawombung Kabui and other village on May 23 2013 where the young and olds are indulge in pouring water to each other.
