Sypnosis:
Urirei is a young divorcee who now lives with her two brothers, Tomchou and Yaima. She parted with her husband Tomba recently due to conflicting interests between her, Tomba and Tomba's mother. One evening Tomba has a change of heart and habit, and comes to console Urirei and persuade her to return home with him. He has now done away with his habits of drinking and gambling which also happened to be another reason for the divorce. Though it took some cajoling, Urirei finally agrees to return home with her husband. They, however, set out to seek Urirei's eldest brother, Tomchou's permission before they head home. But Tomchou disapproves of their union and this forces Tomba to leave Urirei with the promise of returning back for her the next spring after he earns some money and can support her. Time passes by. The plum tree growing near Urirei's gate manifests the seasonal clock and she waits in anticipation for the plum blossoms to arrive heralding spring. But however, before her wait is over, Sajousana, a cunning moneylender who has been obliging Tomchou in the hope of acquiring Urirei's hand changes the couple's destiny. The very thought of blossoming plum now burns Urirei in anguish.
