Thounaojam Parul performing : A four-day Festival of Classical Manipuri Solo Dance at Maharaja Chandrakriti Auditorium, Imphal on 25th September 2014. The festival is jointly organized by Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal and Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.

Thounaojam Paural Devi, an A-Grade Artiste, received her trainer from the esteemed dance institute, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Acedemy, Imphal, where she completed Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma in Raas and Lai Haraoba. She also completed M.A. in Dance and in Manipur Literature. She undergoes her creative work under Th. Chaotombi Singh and W. Lokendrajit Singh, and also took her solo dance lesson from late Guru R.K. Sanayaima Singh and continues her training under the strict guidance of A. Lakshmi Devi. She has been associated with several performances and has won many prizes and public acclamation for her dexterity in in dancing.
She has participated in various solo festival and dance festivals in an abroad India including Natranjali Festival-Tamil Nadu, Nritosava-Festival of Young Dancer-Pune, Khajuraho Festival of young dancer- Bhubaneshwore, Sangeet Nritya Samaroh- Pune, Khajuraho Festival-Madhya Pradesh, festival of Manipur Classical Solo Dance-Imphal, Konark Festival-Orrisa, Kalinga mahotsava-Bhubaneshwore, OCTAVE Festival- Kerala & Konrak, North East Festival- Chennai, Nritya Sangram Festival-Banglore, Manifestation in Sweden, Festival of India in Kazakhastan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Commemoration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at Dhaka, 5th Sheki Silk Road International Musical Festival- Azerbaijan etc.
She has also participated in several ballet produced under the production Unit of JNMDA including Meghdoot, Lei-Langba, Wainu Pareng, Phoot Youdha, Leima Namul Khambi, Shankuntala Keibul Lamjao, Radha Sati, etc.
Presently, he is working as an artiste in the Production Unit of Jawaharal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.
