Scene II :: British official called a Darbar with the Maharaj of Manipur and his younger brother Tikendrajit as Jubaraj of Manipur. However Tikendrajit received a letter from British officer's wife that the British officers had planned to arrest the Jubaraj. Tikendrajit did not turn up for the said darbar.
