Human rights activist and anti-AFSPA crusader Irom Chanu Sharmila left Imphal on October 5 2015 for New Delhi to appear before the Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala Court on October 6 and 7 in connection with a case registered against her for holding hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in 2006 demanding the repeal of AFSPA from the State.
