Iron Lady Irom Sharmila Chanu released from JN Hospital, Imphal on March 12, 2012 and then re-arrested the next day on March 13 2012. .
She resumed protest at the Road side of Khurai Ayangpali road (new PDA complex) by fasting unto death against the state Goverment in demanding for wiping out of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) 1958 from the state of Manipur.
