A symposium titled "11 Year Hunger Strike: Irony In The World's Largest Democracy" was held at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA on 21 February, 2012
The event was jointly organized by The Carr Center For Human Rights Policy at Harvard University, the Harvard India Caucus, and the Kashmir Initiative at the Carr Center. The North American Manipur Association (NAMA), and the European Manipuri Association (EMA) were co-sponsors.
