Imphal, June 27: Laishram Imocha of Uripok Khoisnam Leikai has qualified for participation in the National 'A' level chess competition, informed Manipur Chess Association in a release.

Imocha acquired qualification points/position for competing in the National 'A' competition after securing 23rd position in the 45th National 'B' Chess Championship held at Tamil Nadu's Dindigul from June 10 till 20, said the Association while adding that top 30 finishers in the 'B' level competition are allowed to take part in the country's top championship (A).

AB Meitei and S Vikramjit are informed to be other two players from the State to have taken part in the National 'A' chess championship.
