Troops of 34 Assam rifles deployed in tulihal area arrested one cadre of the UNLF on august 24 at around 6.15 am, informed a PRO IGAR (S) release identifying the captive as one SS Cpl (No.2401) Th Soni alias Samungou alias Ibomcha (20) s/o Th Pishak Singh of Huikap Awang Leikai.
items recovered from soni included four live rounds of AK-47 and three receipts of UNLF, it added.
Meanwhile, two drug peddlers were arrested from Moreh Town on August 24 by a patrol party of 31 Assam Rifles who also recovered 500 pieces of Doxycycline Hyclate UPS 100 gm tablets, one ream of aluminium foil paper, 10 syringes and one packet straw, added the release.
