Imphal, November 16: In compliance with the Naga Students’ Federation intimation an interim council of the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong has been constituted with immediate effect and four persons nominated to monitor TKS affairs, reports our correspondent.

Soon after the nomination as chairman of the interim council Shokkai Khayi issued a statement prohibiting use of TKS’ name until a full fledged executive council is installed slated for December 15.Appealing for cooperation from all concerned, the council chairman further warned of serious disciplinary action against anybody found violating the restriction.

LSU’s election conducted: The Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (Lamkang Students Union) has conducted its general election on November-14 at Paraolon Chandel with 36 youth clubs of the tribe participated in the election.

Stephen Sankhil Lamkang has been elected as its president for the 2005-2007 tenure.
