Tokpaching tourist home

Imphal, December 26 2009:
The tokpaChing (Mondum) Youth Organisation urged the Government of Manipur to accelerate construction of the tourist home located atop the Nungpakpabi hill in the Tokpaching (Mondum) hills.
A press release issued by the organisation's president, N Sanatomba and secretary Kh Romen Meitei stated that the construction of the tourist home was started by the Department of Tourism, Government of Manipur about 10 years back.
However, the water reservoire, fencing, road and other infrastructure have not been completed till today.
The organisation urged the authority to take necessary steps to complete the tourist home and bring up the standard of living of the backward people of the areas.
