Barely 10 hours before Class XII students of the CBSE are to sit for their Chemistry exams tomorrow, the Manipuri Students' Federation dropped yet another bombshell today and claimed that the question paper of the subject has leaked.
Producing the question paper in front of the media today at 10.30 pm, MSF president S Sanjoy said that the papers were impounded by a mobile team of the student body from Uripok area today.
The question paper was being sold for Rs 2000 per copy, said the student leader adding that two youths who came on a Pulsar motorcycle (MN05/9884) with the paper, escaped.
The two youths were trying to get photostat copies of the question paper, he added.
The "leaked question paper" carrying 70 marks were hand written on six pages and covered all the relevant topics of the subject.
The student body also seized a copy of the suggestions culled from the pre-exam papers prepared by RK Sanatombi School.
The pre-exam papers were being sold for Rs 3,500 per copy, they said.
Seriously viewing the developments, the student body has prepared a memorandum to be sent to the Ministry of Human Resources tomorrow.
The memorandum urged the Human Resource Ministry to depute a team and investigate the cases of question paper leakages in the State and to re-schedule the exam to a suitable month.
A copy of the memorandum was submitted to Governor SS Sidhu today as well as to the State Education Minister.
The same will also be sent to the CBSE authority, informed S Sanjoy.
