Imphal, February 22 2009: Condemnations and condolences continue to pour in from various civil organizations, clubs and meirapaibis till today against the brutal triple murder of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Th Kishan, his driver A Rajen and revenue Mandol, Y Token on February 17 last.

Condemning the unfortunate incident, Apunba Kanglei Sinnaibi Lup (AKSIL) expressed deep regret over the popular policy of the state government to fix price tags for human lives despite trying to punish the criminals for the crimes committed.

AKSIL also appealed to all related authorities not to let such communalism arousing incidents occur in future.

All Manipur Arts and Culture Students’ Union (AMACSU) termed the incident as a great loss to the state.

It is a conspiracy to eliminate learned dedicated, truthful and sincere officials of the state which indicated that truthful persons cannot survive in the current government.

An AMACSU statement further said that the public curfew imposed to control mobs is causing disturbances to the public by paralyzing all activities in the state. Inappropriate solutions given by the government to past issues is the prime cause of public uprisings in the state.

United Clubs’ Organisation of Bishnupur District, Soibam Leikai Ayangpali Road Youths’ Club (SAYC), National Game Village and Punsikhul Apunba Nupi Lup (NGVPANL), Uyumpok Mahila Welfare Association (UMWA) have condemned the killing.
