Imphal, November 25 2009:
A 35-year old woman who was pillion riding a motorcycle was killed after being knocked down by a brick-laden truck near main gate of Manipur University along Imphal-Moreh Road (National Highway-39) at around 5 pm today.
The victim has been identified as Wahengbam Nandini Devi (35) w/o Shyam of Heirangoithong Maibam Leikai.
She was pillion riding on the Bajaj Pulser 150 DTSi driven by one Khomdram Ranjan (40) of the same locality.
Along with taking the truck into custody, Singjamei police have picked up the body and kept at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital.
