Imphal, December 12: Reacting to the hue and cry raised over the alleged thrashing and torture of one K Inaocha from Andro Torongthel at Kamu Lairok Khul on December 9 by armed KLA cadres, the project officer of KLA, G Loveson Kuki in a statement observed that the Andro Khunou Youth Club and Meira Paibees are discrediting and defaming KLA on hearing only one side of the story concerning the allegation.

The oufit also expressed disatisfaction over hasty decision adopted by the Andro Khunou Youth Club and the local Meira Paibees in playing the blame game before ascertaining the truth of the matter.

The statement contended that K Inaocha and his party fuelled the quarrel by using foul words and derogatory remarks to their cadres even after they disclosed their identity.

Following which two rounds were blank fired and a minor punishment awarded to teach them a lesson, it added.

Meanwhile the project officer of KLA, G Loveson Kuki has intimated to the ADC of Kangpokpi, Lunminthang Haokip to surrender to the outfit by December 15.In a statement issued by the outfit, it alleged that the ADC has usurped kerosene oil meant for the people of Kangpokpi and sold out.

Failure to heed the intimation would result in actions without further warning, it added.
