Imphal, June 12:
To mitigate the problem of shortage of food grain and other essential commodities being faced by the people of Moreh following the sealing of the border trade in the wake of the recent spate of violent incidents there, five trucks laden with rice have been sent to the border town today.
The rice laden trucks reportedly arrived at strife Moreh later in the afternoon today.
As part of the measures being taken up by the State Government, the rice bags were loaded from the FCI godown at Sangairpou and headed for Moreh this morning.
The rice trucks were escorted by a team of MR personnel led by one Jamadar.
