An amount of Rs 2000 collected by NSS Unit I and II of Modern College as relief aid for tsunami-hit people from students, volunteers, teachers, staff members and general public has been donated to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
The amount was handed over to the State Liaison Officer, NSS Cell, Government of Manipur for onward transmission to the Programme Advisor, NSS, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India through NSS Regional Centre, Guwahati.
Contributing its mite to the cause, the NSS Unit of Ng Mani College too has contributed a sum of Rs 2000 to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, through State Liaison Officer, NSS Cell, Govt of Manipur.
Meanwhile, sStaffs and students of Tamphasana Girls' Higher Secondary School Imphal has today donated a sum of Rs 13,120 to the Prime Minister National Relief Fund in aid of the Tsunami victims.
