A delegation of Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC and AMGEO today met Chief Minister to discuss their long-pending demands, informed publicity and information secretary L Priyobratta informed in a statement.
Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Finance) and Commissioner (GAD) were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, JAC delegates reiterated their demands for paying off 23 percent DA and implementation of ACP scheme, minimum wages, pay anomalies, die-in-harness scheme, back wages, regularisation of adhoc, muster roll and work-charge employees among others.
But in view of the poor financial position of the State, the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary made it clear that the Government would not be able to consider the demand for payment of DA as of now, the statement informed.
However, with regard to fours demands of the JAC namely, implementation of ACP scheme, pay anomalies, revision of minimum wages and payment back salaries, the Chief Minister entrusted the Chief Secretary for taking up necessary actions to fulfill these demands at the earliest possible, the statement said.
